Lancaster County Housing Market Update

October 16, 2023

Inventory continues to be the dominant force behind the local housing market conditions.  The number of Settled Units dropped 24% from this time last year.  Much of that is due to the limited choices buyers have.  This has been quite frustrating to buyers as they still have a desire to buy, despite the rising rates.  This desire can be seen in the Average Sale Price, which rose 6% compared to last September.  If you are thinking about buying and/or selling a home in Lancaster County I am happy to talk with you about how the current market conditions should help guide your decisions.
